Office Administrative Specialist
Course Description
This course is designed to prepare the student to become a professional office assistant or office executive. This course will train students to develop the essential skills needed to become an expert in the field.
Coursework includes:business correspondence skills, computer fundamentals, keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, business office management, office human relations and interaction skills.
Course Objectives
At the completion of this course, students will have learned:
1. To create, edit, and enhance standard business documents using Microsoft Office Word
2. To create and edit basic Microsoft Office Excel worksheets and workbooks
3. To create effective basic Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations for delivery in front of an audience
4. To compose and send emails, schedule appointments and meetings, manage contact information and tasks, and use notes
5. Effective business communication skills including: preparing business letters, memorandums, reports, and proposals.
